nutritionist and dietitian

About The People's Nutritionist

Hello there!  My name is Seth Carr and I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. I created this site to better serve my clients but I realize that there are many people out there seeking sound nutrition advice. My goal is to provide everyone I can with the knowledge and tools needed to create a basic framework they can stick to for the long term.

All of the resources, including the diet plans, are free to use without strings attached. Why? It is already very difficult for a number of folks to afford buying healthy food. There should be no other obstacles standing in their way. Healthier human beings means a healthier society.

  1. I learned a lot from this guy, and he leads the best example in his own diet. Probably the happiest guy I’ve ever met. Seth is the real deal!!

  2. HI Seth,

Thanks so much for the recent like of my blog post, “Letting go of all or nothing.” It has led me to your interesting and informative blog, which I am now following.

I love learning about healthy living so I look forward to more of your posts.

    Happy blogging!

  3. Hi Seth,

I’m David, and I’m a student at Ohio State on track to become a dietitian (hoping to get my licensure this coming summer). I really like the couple articles of yours that I skimmed over. I’m going to make it a goal of mine to read all of them over time. I’ll be sure to comment on the articles as I go! Your science based approach and refusal to sell out is refreshing. I hope you find some of my articles interesting as well and maybe we can learn from each other. I may link to your articles in my future blog posts.

    1. Thank you for the feedback David. I try to lay out my articles as easy to ride while sticking to the facts. I did enjoy reading quite a few of your articles and look forward to catching up on more.

  4. Hi Seth: I’m really happy to find your site, and I’m glad you found my blog and liked my post. I am always interested in learning from folks who put good nutrition and exercise as mainstays in their lives. Your meal plans look great, so I may just incorporate some into my diet.

      1. Thanks for the encouragement. After a lot of trial and error, I’ve learned that following a gluten-free/dairy-free diet keeps me healthiest. I don’t eat a lot of grains, but some. It’s nice that there are more gluten-free options, and many of them are quite tasty. I’ve tried a “primal” diet before and am going back with that for a while. I wrote about it in 2012 when i did it, so I’m sure I’ll be writing about this again. Any time I pull anything from your site, I’ll be sure to include a link.
